Paper U.S. Savings Bonds will not be sold at financial institutions or through mail-in orders after December 31, 2011.
You can buy electronic savings bonds online through TreasuryDirect. USSCO will continue to be able to redeem paper Savings Bonds after December 31st.

USSCO can also assist you with savings bonds transactions that must be processed through the Federal Reserve bank, such as reissue transactions in the event of an owner's death.
For these types of transactions, please contact us in advance so that we can be sure to have the necessary forms. We may also need to advise you on what certified documentation you’ll need for the transaction.
